61. Wedding Day(B)

Priest: Dearly beloved, we are gathered here together in the sight of God, and in the face of this company, to join this man and this woman in holy matrimony.

(Soon it came time for Mike and Maria to make their wedding vows to each other.)

Maria: I vow to always hold you in my heart. To remain faithful, loving, and caring until the end of days.

Mike: I vow to do the same. To always love you and you alone, for as long I may live.

Priest: Do you, Mike, take Maria as your lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish, until death do you part?

Mike: I do.

Priest: And do you, Maria?

Maria: Yes, I do.

Priest: Do you have the ring?

Mike: Yes, I do! What I mean is... my best man does!

(Doug hands the ring to Mike, who places it gently on Maria's finger. Maria does the same to Mike with his ring.)

Priest: I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.

(Mike leans forward and kisses Maria who happily kisses him back. The church is filled with happiness. Mike and Maria turn to greet their family and friends, confident and ready for whatever the future may bring. Together.)
